Event Recap: Snoop Dogg @ The Pickle Barrel Nightclub – Killington, VT

After the cancellation of SnowMont, Snoop still decided to swing through Killington and pay a visit to the Pickle Barrel Nightclub in Killington, VT to treat Vermonters to two shows.  To anyone unfamiliar the Pickle Barrel is a pretty small venue so it is awesome to see that Snoop enjoys coming back to pay this small resort town a visit.  The early show wasn’t even sold out until an hour or so before Snoop took the stage.  Word has it that when a bouncer tried to kick someone out for lighting up, Snoop stopped the show and vetoed that situation much to the crowds enjoyment.

The late show was bumping and Snoop was lookin fly as hell with the green adidas jumpsuit and rasta hat.  His intro and the dancers got the crowd hyped as hell, too.  Check it out below!

Chris Webby “There Goes The Neighborhood” Tour Coming to VT

Hailing from the suburbs of Fairfield County, Connecticut, up and coming rapper Chris Webby has quickly made a name for himself. In just 2 years, Webby has released 6 free mixtapes, showcasing his abilities to hop on any track and spit fire. As a product of the 90’s, Webby often refers to many aspects of that culture including the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Lion King, Mortal Kombat etc.  His attention to detail and white boy wordplay, sets him apart from the rest.  In December 2011, Webby released his first album, “There Goes The Neighborhood.” Now, Webby is hitting the road to promote the new EP and will land in Burlington, VT on February 13th. This is a great opportunity for hip-hop fans in Vermont to witness first hand, a fellow New Englander chasing his dreams. Be sure to grab your tickets now at www.highergroundmusic.com and support @ChrisWebby‘s #NinjaSwag!

RECAP: Chris Webby put on one grand performance with DJ Semi and fellow bandmates at Higher Ground. The setlist included songs from every single mixtape that Webby has released including tracks off his debut album, There Goes The Neighborhood. The crowd was very energetic and Webby rocked out with them all night! Between Webby’s father busting out crazy guitar solos, drummer laying down the baseline, and DJ Semi scratching on the one’s and two, the show was a creative masterpiece. Never have I heard live music like this. The highlight of the night was Webby’s “real talk” between songs, stating the hardships of doing what he does with no label behind him. That being said, he would rather put out music for the fans for free, than for “motherfuckers in suits with a check!” It’s clear that Chris Webby isn’t doing this for the money, he’s on his grind because he loves Hip-Hop! Check out a couple photos from the show…
