Event: Aer – The Bright Side Tour @HigherGround Sept 12th

Here’s a show that you DO NOT want to miss. Fresh off the release of their new EP, The Bright Side, Aer will be invading VT once again with Bronx native Yonas, New Zealand rapper David Dallas and Burlington’s own Jacob Es. Hailing from New England, Aer’s music resembles a perfect mix of hip-hop, reggae, and alternative to create a one of a kind sound. The group has come to Higher Ground a few times but this show will definitely be a special one. The “Queen Bee” is back! Brooklyn native, Lil Kim will be coming to the Higher Ground ballroom Tuesday, May 22nd. This will be her second time coming to VT, since her last show in 2010. As a member of Junior M.A.F.I.A back in the 90’s, Lil Kim stormed onto the scene with her intense, sexual, and raw style. After a storied 18 years in the game, Lil Kim is still moving forward. Check out her hot mixtape, Black Friday, which was released on Valentine’s Day of last year. More recently, Kim has been working on her fifth album and released a new joint with Jeezy, Keys To The City, in March. Join GMHH and Stevie Beats from Planet 96.7 as we welcome Lil Kim back to VT. Here is our exclusive recap of Wale’s live show at Middlebury College’s Kenyon Arena on Saturday, April 21st, 2012. Wale put on a sprited performance with the backing of a full band and DJ.  In the video you can watch him perform a number of his hits including Chillin, Nike Boots, Chain Music, Flower Lotus Bomb, and more. Event Recap: Snoop Dogg @ The Pickle Barrel Nightclub – Killington, VT

After the cancellation of SnowMont, Snoop still decided to swing through Killington and pay a visit to the Pickle Barrel Nightclub in Killington, VT to treat Vermonters to two shows.  To anyone unfamiliar the Pickle Barrel is a pretty small venue so it is awesome to see that Snoop enjoys coming back to pay this small resort town a visit.  The early show wasn’t even sold out until an hour or so before Snoop took the stage.  Word has it that when a bouncer tried to kick someone out for lighting up, Snoop stopped the show and vetoed that situation much to the crowds enjoyment.

The late show was bumping and Snoop was lookin fly as hell with the green adidas jumpsuit and rasta hat.  His intro and the dancers got the crowd hyped as hell, too.  Check it out below!

Event: Jay Sean – St. Michael’s College Spring Concert 2012

St. Michael’s College in Colchester, VT has invited Jay Sean to perform at their 2012 Spring Concert. The show will go down Saturday March 24th at the Ross Sports Center on the St. Michael’s campus. Jay Sean has been on his game since 2004, with tons of hits under his belt including the #1 Billboard chart topper “Down” (ft. Lil Wayne).
